• Nobody wants to touch the old code because it is hard to follow
• An integrator needs a PLC programmer for part of a project

How we agree and carry out the work

We start with the machine description, a project backup and device list. We agree on sequences, start conditions, interlocks and fault responses. The work can cover a new program, modifications or communication with an added device. For a migration, we review addressing, libraries and data exchange. Logic is tested before the site visit; signals and system behaviour are then checked on the machine.

HMI screens and alarms are agreed together with the program interface.

On-site commissioning can follow the software tests.

Diagnostics of the existing system help define changes when the cause of a fault is unclear.

Limits of the team’s scope

We take on an agreed software package for a machine or small installation. Projects requiring several programmers at multiple sites in parallel need a different staffing arrangement. Schedule and staffing are confirmed before we accept the work.
