Commissioning and upgrades

We check I/O signals, machine sequences and communication between controllers, devices and control systems on site. We make agreed program changes on site and record test results. Upgrades are planned around the available shutdown, with a defined scope and a way to restore the previous version.

What we do

  • I/O checks and wiring verification against drawings
  • Start-up of machines and production lines
  • Start-up of process installations
  • On-site software fixes and optimisation
  • Troubleshooting problems that only show up during start-up
  • Upgrades: replacing controllers and panels, extending systems
  • An extra engineer on a start-up led by an integrator

When to get in touch

  • The start-up date is close and you are short of people on site
  • A machine has arrived from the supplier and needs to be started up at your plant
  • An upgrade has to fit into a short shutdown
  • Support is needed for commissioning abroad, including Germany

How we agree and carry out the work

Before travelling, we agree on mechanical and electrical readiness, the test list and who is responsible for each system. We can handle I/O tests, sequences and software changes or join a start-up led by an integrator. For an upgrade, we prepare project backups, the order of changes and conditions for restoring the previous version. Results and open points are handed to the project lead.

PLC program changes can be prepared and tested before the shutdown.

Drawing updates record changes made during start-up.

Service diagnostics are a separate scope when the issue is a fault in a running installation.

Limits of the team’s scope

We handle an agreed work package in Poland and can travel abroad, including Germany. We do not provide simultaneous staffing across many sites or shifts. Such a project needs a larger team or a narrower role for us.
